Treatments designed to reduce the progression of short-sightedness in children
We diagnose and can potentially slow down myopic (short-sightedness) progression in your child so they are less reliant on their glasses and less likely to be affected by certain eye conditions.
Glasses
For children diagnosed with myopia, we prescribe specially-designed glasses that look the same as traditional glasses but alter the focus in their peripheral vision.
£40 per month or £480 per year.
Includes any £40 frame from the Kids/Teen ranges plus a second pair free from the same range. Just pay the difference if a more expensive frame is chosen.
We assess your child every 6 months.
If the prescription changes by 0.5 dioptres (2 steps) within 1 year a new pair of lenses will be prescribed FOC.
Contact lenses
Contact lenses are available to children ages eight and above. Full-time wear of contact lenses is needed for maximum benefit.
£45 per month for 30 pairs.
We assess your child every 3-6 months.
The prescription is updated free of charge if there is a change.
